I realized that I have not talked very much about the Inn lately… mostly because we haven’t had very many guests here at all. I suppose this is because this time of year can still be considered the “slow” season. So, in my time with the Lord this morning I picked up my “Authentic Relationships’" book to read the next chapter for my group tonight and guess what… it was a chapter on prayer!!… Yet another wonderful and quick answer to my prayer! Tom and I were reading Oswald the other day and he used the scripture in John 13:38 “Then Jesus answered, "Will you really lay down your life for me? I tell you the truth, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times!” the version Oswald used said “the rooster shall not crow before you disown me…” That put a whole new perspective on that scripture for me!! God has such a great sense of humor. I have tried in so many ways, (via nagging, encouraging, reasoning…) to help Tom to want to get more exercise in his life. Well, 2009 is coming to a close... and what a year it has been!! As I reflected back on this year, I remembered that 2008 was a really hard year for Tom with losing so much, of himself and things around him (he calls it his year of “loss”). God is so cool in His faithfulness to answer prayer! I had a friend ask me about my eye situation a couple weeks ago so I relayed the story I wrote in my last journal entry and afterwords, he said, OK lets go and get the prescription filled now! I was dumbfounded! That certainly was not what I was expecting!! So, I called Target and told them I would like to get the original prescription filled and we went and picked it up. Well, we have been “Inn Keepers” for a week now and things have been going great! The place is so beautiful!

The Lord is so faithful in answering our prayers… even when we have no idea how the result of those answered prayers will effect us!! This truly has been a season of sorrow and suffering for me. The battle rages on… I feel like I may have a “glimpse” of what Job might have felt like (to a much smaller degree!!) when God removed all the hedges around him and allowed the enemy to attack full force. We are back from our vacation in CA and we had a very good time.
