Man's Religion Or God's Church?

One night I wandered into a group gathered in a college dorm and heard regular people sincerely telling how Jesus had changed their lives.  Later the group joined hands in a large circle, pulled me in, and began to talk to Jesus one after the other.

This was my first encounter with the Kingdom of God, the presence of the actual reign (rule) of God.  Jesus had said that the Kingdom of God was at hand (close) but I had never before been aware of God’s government.  But I was that night —…

Clergy Or Laity - Which One Should We Dispense With?

When discussing the egalitarian non-hierarchical structure of Simple Church I find that some people see it as a movement seeking to dispense with the function of pastors and priests.   When reading and hearing some of the comments made by the proponents of this developing movement I can understand why some people may take it that way.…

Can Christians show the world how to handle escalating medical costs?

If the "kingdoms of this world are to become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ" then you and I have to take the rule of Jesus out into the world around us.  Isn't the present expression of the kingdom of God wherever we see the uncontested rule of Jesus through his people?  For years I have been challenged by what the medical world would look like if it was being run by Jesus.  A simplistic answer might be that Jesus would just heal everybody.  But that has not been my experience.  I…

Spiritual weddings

Of the people that receive Christ, the majority are of Indian origin. The reason being is that we are based in an area that boosts a large Indian population. Many of them before they could come to Christ were involved in worship of idols and deities and some of the rituals included establishing vows and ties that they performed on a regular basis.

Ezek 14:6 Turn from your idols and renounce all your detestable practices!

Ordering our Steps

ORDERING OUR FOOTSTEPS

Instilling Godly Values

I have been constantly reminded about sharing my testimony and as to how I have been truly born again and my call into the ministry. We always think or ponder about things we want to do but never seem to get down to actually doing them. The thought of how many lives will be changed for the better once more challenged me.

Contemplating about where to start or what…

Seeing A Simple Church Dream Come True

I am seeing a dream come true.  It is so exciting.

For 40 years, I've dreamed that a church meeting could operate without the programming, control, and/or direction of a human leader.  I've searched the country looking for such a church but couldn't find one.

I've also devoured church history looking for one.  I found two examples there.  Paul of Tarsus wrote in the New Testament that when Christians meet together that each one should participate in the…

The Glorious Shipwreck

Dear Saints in Jesus

The other night I was going through 'YouTube' on Gospel music and one 'youtube' lead me to another and my eyes caught the attention of the title "The Glorious Shipwreck". I felt compelled to open it -this is God-Incident of leading me to this U-tube of showing me of what He is doing in my life.

This VDO clip 'troubled' me in the night. When I said troubled me -it was in a good way as the Lord was speaking to me about important issues in which I had…

Mercy Me...

I can remember when I was a kid; a hot summer day with a couple of friends doing the stuff the boys do. In the backyard on a carpet of green grass which now had become our Colosseum. Gladiators clad with armour – dirty Chuck Taylors, jeans and t-shirts standing our ground, arms outstretched,…

THE CLOTHING OF THE BRIDE OF CHRIST

“’Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.

Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.’ (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of

the saints.)”

Insecurity in Church Movements...

Can’t we all just get along! This expresses how I feel so many times when I read what people write about the church and others get their two cents worth in how they think. I am all for a free thinking society, but we cannot lose sight of where the real battle lies. Neil Cole ,in the below suggested article, uses…
