Can you even imagine it? We, you and me, saved by grace and now considered to be the righteousness of God.

Funny, it almost feels sinful to think that way, but God said it and it is true. Because of Christ’s perfect sacrifice for us, we are now God’s righteousness.

A lot of Christians want to tell us that we are poor sinners saved by Grace. True, we are saved by Grace, but we are no longer considered poor sinners. Stop letting religion tell you that you aren’t good enough. In your own strength, no, you aren’t good enough. But through Christ, we have been given the gift of salvation. Through His grace, we are now the righteousness of God. When God looks at us, He sees Jesus in us. Do you not know that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit?

Stop condemning yourself. ‘There is now therefore, no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:1-4 NASV).

Stop trying to do things to earn God’s love and grace. We are now His righteousness because of Christ. No matter what we do, or don’t do, God has provided us with salvation, forgiveness of sins (past, present and future), and now sees us as His perfect sons and daughters because of Christ. The Law was given to point out our sin and prove to us that we could not live a perfect life. Thanks be to God who provided His own Son as an offering for sin. He fulfilled the Law and became sin for us. We no longer have to try and live by the Law or the Old Covenant. We are now free from sin, and no longer need the Law to point out that we can’t do it on our own.

Let’s start enjoying the freedom we have in Christ, and start living through love for God and love for others. Don’t let someone tell you that you are anything less than the righteousness of God.

Thanks Mike...You are so right!!...and the fact it sounds sinful is why so many reject it....but oh the freedom it brings when that light comes in!!!..Its like reading a whole New Bible, the way the verses come alive now..Just sorry it took so long to get there!!...many years of religious garb to kick out of this mind!!..But the Galatians did it as well...Paul tells them "You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you?"..Before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed crucified?. "Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by hearing with faith?".."Are you so foolish? "Having begun by the Spirit, Are you now being perfected by the flesh"? Galatians 3:1-2-3...

May the Gospel of Grace come alive in the Body, to know who we are IN Him...and let FREEDOM rule and reign!

Bless you brother

Sista Sandy :)

Hi Larry...well the truth is out!!  lol...Grace Grace & More Grace!!....I know there are many who believe its a "License to Sin"...so its rejected...which is sad...because the freedom grace brings from guilt, shame, & condemnation actually make you love Him more...trust Him more, search Him more, etc.....Its the Goodness of God that leads to repentance.... why would we WANT to sin?

Back in 2008...my life took an amazing turn...I had many family members already hearing this message from our Lord...I would not hear it!!!..not from them...(ONLY God)...I thought they were ALL deceived!!......And my husband and I were told (by IC) to stay away from them...they were toxic..  :((....Years went on like this...I started seeing things in the IC that I felt were not lining up with the Word....Somethings missing....Something is wrong.......questioning...........My daily devotional was the book of Proverbs...WISDOM!!! Right?...but one day this verse really stood out ...In all your getting...Get Understanding!  Wisdom is great...but if you don't understand it...what good is it??  So...My prayers were "Lord please help me hear you clearly....and may you open my understanding".....Boy did things start changing....But its all been a process..(of elimination)..haha..Religious mindsets .....they still try to taunt...The church has been brainwashed for 2000 years...we are not gonna "GET IT" overnite... but the journey has been awesome...and knowing now that its what "HE DONE" and not what WE DO that saves us...Eph. 2:8-9...makes all the difference...The Lord was saying to me SIMPLIFY your life.

The Message Bible>Matthew 11:28-30

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life.  I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me---watch how I do it.  Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you will learn to live freely and lightly.

The Grace Gospel is the "Good News."...unmerited...undeserved favor...So when people tell you..you are giving people a "license to sin...tell them ..no.....we are giving them JESUS...

Blessings,

Sista Sandy

Sandy, when you say, "because the freedom grace brings from guilt, shame, & condemnation actually make you love Him more...trust Him more, search Him more, etc.....Its the Goodness of God that leads to repentance.... why would we WANT to sin?", you are capturing one of the most vital realities of what our life in Christ is based on -- the recovered freedom to know His love and to love Him. May you always be nurtured in your spirit by what you've written -- admittedly already spoken by Someone else! Blessings.
