Everyone who is part of The Well has made a decision to walk away from traditional church as we know it and to walk towards a new mindset. This house or “organic” church model that we are involved in can be hard to communicate to those who don’t understand it.
Recently I went on the Organic Church Movements page on Facebook and asked this question: If I were to ask you to give me the definition of Organic church in one sentence/paragraph, what would you say?
Here are a couple of the answers I received:
Ken - organic - go watch the grass grow - the forest - all the trees, plants, animals, bugs - how they interact and work together - and after a while - one may start to define "organic"
The presence of Jesus among His people called out as a spiritual family to pursue His mission on this planet.
Organic fruits and vegetables typically carry anywhere from 30 - 75% more nutrients than synthetically produced produce. Organic church life if done properly yields fruit "spiritual nutrients" along the same percentages, making it more authentic, free, "nutritious", and better for the church.
I would love to hear your definition of “Organic Church.” What does it mean to you? Why have you made the decision to walk down the road less traveled and not follow the crowd? Let me know.
