We have gotten away from interpretation of the Word of God solely based on the authority of the Bible. We have a tendency to look at the Word of God and then look toward someone that looks mature in the faith and benchmark what we have read with their life. This is one of the main reasons we have people calling themselves Christians but living just like the world. The bible has enough people in it to benefit from their lives. Actually the word came through their life so that we can receive the fullness of the scripture. When we look to someone else for interpretation instead of praying to the Father and searching the scriptures as if they were treasure, then we come up with a flawed message that will not have the affect on our life as it was intended. Looking to people for accountability is a great thing. God created all these positions that we occupy like brother, sister, pastor, deacon, elder, and so on. These positions are perfect because God created them, but the people in these positions are flawed. This is why we can only go to the Father for our salvation and not people. The Children of Israel was a great example when Moses was put over them to guide them to the promise land. They told him, "... you go to God and get the ordinances and we will follow them", but it did not work out too well. They did not have a personal relationship with the Father and did have enough faith to enter into His rest. They wanted someone between them and the Father and ultimately lost out on God's intended place for them to be. Instead they were out in the wilderness with no purpose aimless.

Please understand all my writings are based on my relationship with God and how He is changing me.

Excellent word, Aaron. All the gifts in the Body are our resources from the Head, only as we are actively and faithfully seeking Him for ourselves. I am also learning this lesson in the relationship that is changing my life daily.

Grace and peace from a brother follower of the King.
