entering thru the narow gate (which is Jesus Christ) Matt 7 :1-, John 10:9

Jesus told Nicodemus that we must be born again to enter the Kingdom of heaven. Which leads us to this question to be born again do we have to first die ? Well the answer in the scriptures is Yes! Jesus said that we must take up our cross daily and unless we leave all we cannot be his disicple , let alone his subject. John the baptist said he needed to be baptized by Jesus , why is this important, lets look at Rom 6: 1-14, "as many of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death and we were buried with him at baptism into death. So this is the normative for the process of going thru Christ . Lets look at what happen on the day of pentacost when the Spirit came on them and Peter stood and told them what they "must do" Acts 2 :38-42 " repent every one of you and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and you will recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit" Thus proving we must be born of the water and the spirit as was told to Nicodemus by Jesus in John 3, in Acts Paul came upon diciples that had only recieved Johns baptism for repentance and thay were baptized by Paul into Jesus. Jesus baptizes us with the Holy Spirit and fire when we recieve his baptism . In the early Church this was understood and peolpe would wait until nearly death to be baptized for fear of falling away afterwards , this is not what was intended, the desire for baptism into Christ is a natural progression of our walk with God if we want to enter into his Kingdom and truly be his humble subject. In todays Pagan church this subject seems nearly taboo ! They do not enter the Kingdom and they keep others from doing so. Now that we are born again of the water and the Spirit where do we go from here? Well a newborn needs milk.
love in Christ John
