Mary, she had tried to sleep,
kept the ointments close beside her
they were costly to buy. but she did not mind,
looking up at the sky thinking, He was
oppressed afflicted, but He never said a word.
they laid on Him the guilt the sin of every one,
she watched the rising of the sun, began to weep.
heard the sound of rumbling thunder, she got out
of her cot to see, "Yes Lord Im comming" she said
then thinking thats silly, but Im sure I heard His
voice calling me. she got up, got ready to leave,
Mary her sister knocking on the door, "come said
she, I cannot wait any more we must go to the tomb.
where our beloved shall be, the ointments we shall use,
come let us go. for my heart is breaking so. they took
what they needed and left, they hugged each other
as they walked, their hearts so bereft.
Mary cried out on seeing the tomb, OH Father,
the stone is no longer there, they ran inside the cave,
saw the empty grave clothes, all they could do was
weep and stare, at the place where the Saviour"s
body was meant to be, it was not there.
Then two Angels stood there, dont be frightened,
one said, You are looking for Jesus amoung the dead,
but He is alive, just as He said He would be.
Go back home, tell your brothers to come and see.
with Joy they ran from the tomb. shouting to each other.......To continue.
how can this be. and He is already gone ahead of us to Galilee................to be cont
