Have you ever met anyone who was a “planner”? I mean someone who uses a day timer; their detailed “To-do” list. Every detail mapped out and planned, step-by-step. Now, this works very well for some. They need to have their day planned and organized—the more detailed, the better. That has never worked for me. I need to be more spontaneous. Allow opportunity for schedule changes. That is just the way I am wired, I guess. In the church I belong to, one of our Pastors is like that. He decided when he would be married; how many kids he would have. I mean, everything planed and detailed.

You know, that is kind of what our Father is like. He has a preconceived plan for each of us. Yes, I believe there is a detailed plan for each of us, but there is also a general, much broader plan for the Church itself. One of those plans is to deliver us out of our fiery trials. Now that may not be too surprising to you, but it is helpful to be reminded of that fact sometimes. I just want you to remember that no matter what you are going through, right now, your Father has a plan tailored for every difficulty. It is a plan that could never be conceived or imagined by the human mind.

We can see this throughout all of Scripture. But as a simple example, look at the fiery trials facing Israel in the desert. There was no bread, no food of any kind, no water, and each meal would be taken care of at the beginning of each day.

Let me ask you something. Can you imagine any committee, any intercession group that could have come up with this, “Let’s pray that tomorrow we wake up and discover white flakes of angel’s food covering the ground—with a taste of honey.”

Nah. The exciting news is that YHWH had it all planned—it was a miraculous, inconceivable plan. Incredible! Only He could do something like that.

Come on, pause a moment and think about this. There they were, out in the wilderness with no water, yet the hot desert had parched their lips. Humanly speaking, there was no way to survive. Hundreds of thousands crying, facing a life-and-death crisis. How would you have resolved the situation?

Who could have imagined how YHWH could save the day? Who could have pointed to a big rock and suggested to Moses, “Go; hit it and cause a river of water to flow out”? You have to be kidding me. It was an impossible situation; no one in the camp could figure it out. Nevertheless, YHWH already had an answer. He had a plan—conceived in his mind long before the crisis even arrived!

Wait, just go back to the beginning of their journey when they were faced with an impassible sea before them; mountains on each side—and Pharaoh’s army racing toward them. Impossibilities! Hopelessness! But YHWH had a plan!

Now, I want you look at your own situation . . . there is no human-way to resolve it, but there is a Divine way! Your Father has a plan. Just allow Him to work it out for you.
