Felicity and I are spending this weekend in Winnsboro, TX with Dan and Laurel Hubbell. They have two young Africans staying with them for six weeks, so that they can pour their lives into these two who in turn will live out what they are learning within the churches that they lead in Africa. Six weeks to help just two people. And that includes opening up your home, your marriage, your finances ( to help cover costs of travel from Africa and looking after two extra for meals, etc.). No gimmicks, no big meetings, no praise from man. But what impact! Isn't this a wonderful picture of of what Jesus called us to in the Great Commission when He told us to "make disciples."

By the way, this may not have much to do with discipleship, but you will enjoy this short clip from YouTube about the content of our new book, The Rabbit and the Elephant. Click on this link for 90 seconds of Wolfgang Simson on the parable of the rabbit and the elephant!

Dan Hubbell is a true fathering grace. His wisdom is only surpassed by his integrity and humility. What an awesome pattern to model and imitate! Thank you, Tony for sharing this. Thank you, Dan for exhibiting this!
