I asked the Lord of the star fields, why are they there?
Why did you put so many of them there?
And he said, “Because I had the space to do it. “

They are so many stars, all sorts and kinds.
Intricate things, unusual things, everything one can imagine.
Lord, weren’t we enough for you?
And he said, “I made you last.”

The focal point of the heavens,
The yearning of the heart of God,
All reaching across time and all space
To touch God’s man.

I think perhaps we are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Carolyn,
I loved this....Isn't it interesting that when God speaks to us He doesn't use a lot of words. Yet the few words He uses are powerful. Once I heard someone say they asked God why He created the giraffe...it is such a funny looking creature with a long neck, tiny littly ears, and spots. God's reply was..."Because it pleased me,"
it." That was the first time I realized God has a sense of humor.
I recently read a short story about a missionary and his wife returning to America from many, many years spent in a foreign country preaching the gospel. On the same boat was President Roosevelt returning from a safari trip. At the dock the President was receiving a grand reception while the minister and his wife had no one to greet them. The minister was complaining a bit to his wife about how unfair it seemed. They had given their lives to the preaching of the gospel and their return home found no one to welcome them home. He complained for several days, and finally his wife told him to talk to the Lord about it. He came out of his prayer time with God a few days later with a smile and the wife asked..What did God say?" He responded..." He said,"You're not home yet." I love that! Just a few but powerful words! Just a few words from Him changes us and lifts us up to the heavenlies. Reminds us that we are not of this world.

Tammie, haven't seen that movie... but sure want to do so! One cannot consider the heavens without learning something more about the creator of it all! thanks for sharing about IMAX.

This is beautiful bonnie,..what an awesome revelation!...and Mitzi..speaking of our Lords sense of humor...I remember a time while still in the IC, that I went to the alter to ask forgiveness for holding a grudge against someone in the church. The pastor asked the youth to come forward and pray for anyone wanting it....the child that came to me just happened to be the daughter of the person I was upset with!..I looked up, saw her face and "immediately", the weight lifted as I laughed and walked with her, to mom & hugged the problem away!! LOL...needless to say...the child had no clue what the heck just happened!!! she never knew we had a problem!!....but I thought to myself...Lord, you sure have a sense of humor!..He knew exactly what child to send !..hahaha

Hey, I will take the "bonnie" as descriptive... I think it means good and beautiful!
I had someone work for me this year, who I expected to be the best staff person ever, and it didn't turn out that way. After she resigned, and we had a "meeting" about resolving the many offenses I had caused her, I was left with some resentment. She felt "called" to ministry, and expected to make a difference to us in my business ( I own it). She got offended when her efforts were not properly received or appreciated. Her efforts and word were of her own choosing, and they were not the support that I needed at the office. She had an agenda, but it wasn't till she was gone that I understood. After I seethed a while over how she could have been offended by my wanting things to be done my way in my business, God sent me a note from someone with a word about being grateful for the iron in my life so that I can be made sharper. I knew what that was about... and when I thought about it I realized how often we try to "minister" to others on our agenda, trying to "make a difference" in their lives when it may not be their plan nor God's. So, I gave up that focus and decided to really follow what God was doing in people's lives instead of what I thought needed to be done. And, I became grateful for that former employee who brought this into focus for me... God is good.
