Colossians 1:28-29 So, naturally, we proclaim Christ! We warn everyone we meet, and we teach everyone we can, all that we know about him, so that, if possible, we may bring every man up to his full maturity in Christ. This is what I am working at all the time, with all the strength that God gives me. - JB Phillips

Using expressions of faith in contemporary cultural settings is not difficult when it is an expression of who I am in Christ rather than trying to use them as evangelical witnessing tools.

When used as tools they easily become void of the love of Christ, sounding like an annoying cymbal and viewed as the residence of hidden agendas.

Oneness with Christ when fleshed-out through intimacy with Him not only fills my mouth with compassion but my actions as well and the recipients with a hope that only Christ can confirm.

Jesus, what a friend and companion You make.

Yes, Terry. " Using expressions of faith in contemporary cultural settings is not difficult when it is an expression of who I am in Christ rather than trying to use them as evangelical witnessing tools." God has been gracious to you in conveying this to you. And I'm grateful for His reminding me this morning, through what you have written, that only what comes out of me as expressions of Him has value for His name. Thank you for writing.
