OBAMA INAUGURATION – A SIGN OF CHANGE

OBAMA INAUGURATION – A SIGN OF CHANGE

I want to start this prophetic article with an excerpt from James Goll and His insights to the Election that I greatly appreciate.

A Vision of Oil Being Poured on a Deep Rift!
While I was in worship and prayer with a group of leaders in Nashville, TN this past week a clear word from the Lord came to me. In a spiritual vision, I saw something that appeared like the Grand Canyon - it represented a wide and deep rift that historically existed in the nation’s history. As I continued to look, I saw oil being poured upon the deep rift in this land. The oil seeped into the crevice and went deep into the land. [ Very interesting - this WAS Chuck Pierce’s Vision ]

Then I heard the words, “Some of you think I have forgotten all your prayers and fasting concerning the genocide of children in this generation, but I have not. I see deeper and wider in history than man. I see with a length and breadth that man does not see. I have not forgotten your prayers and tears concerning the end of the genocide of children in this generation.”

As these words were coming I saw two doors – a door of the past and a door of the future. Then as I continued in worship more words flowed into my being, “Man asks, ‘What is the Lord doing?’ I am pouring oil into the historic rift of this land. I will heal this land. But there must be a closing of the door of genocide of the past before there can be a shutting of the door of the genocide of the present. I am going to the root of genocide in this land and I am pouring my healing oil on this great rift. I will heal the bitter root of the African American people and restore dignity to them. If you will look upon their faces, if you will let their pain touch your heart, you will see that I am pouring oil upon this great rift in this land. One door leads to the other door. You cannot close the door of genocide today without cleansing the wound and shutting the door of genocide of the past.”

I have been convinced this is what God is doing and why He placed Obama in the place He has placed him. I have edited an article I wrote previously to present, now that emotions and feeling have died down over the election. I truly believe it is the Word of the Lord. I did not vote for Obama, nor did I endorse ANY candidate. My assertion has always been that God is bigger then our petty politics, and our getting upset over them is unbelief.

PROPHETIC SIGNS FROM OBAMA'S ELECTION
By Kriston Couchey

I looked at the crowds of African Americans weeping at Obama’s acceptance speech and I saw a glimpse of untold pain of generations. As old and young wept with joy, generations of slavery, abuse, oppression, prejudice, and hopelessness lifted off of their shoulders in a glimmer of hope and my heart broke as I rejoiced with them. In that moment my Father’s heart broke as well...

I began to understand even more clearly why Obama was being raised into the position of the presidency. While I knew “change” was the cry of the Spirit, focus become clear as to what that change really is all about.

OBAMA: A SIGN TO THE CHURCH OF CHANGE THAT HAS COME
Obama is a sign in the natural of the spiritual change that has come to the body of Christ. Obama is not the answer for the Body of Christ. We don’t embrace earthly governments as the answer for the church or world. This election is a sign. Many Christians embraced George Bush as the answer for America’s woes, but George Bush was also a sign, not the answer himself. So it is with Obama.

CHANGING OF THE GUARD
Reverend Jesse Jackson of the "old guard" civil rights movement looked on with tears at Obama’s acceptance speech as Obama did what he never could as an African American running for president; clinch the presidency. The Old guard is being replaced by a new type of leader who is able to cross barriers others could not. Obama distanced himself from the old guard set in their ways, while still honoring the work that they accomplished.

In the Kingdom we are seeing those raised up that are not like the old guard. Because of religious mindsets and attitudes, the old guard cannot lead into the age we have entered. It takes new leadership with kingdom mindsets that do not limit the work of the Spirit to the old ways of leading and thinking. This means distancing ourselves at times from old ways, while still honoring the contributions of those who went before.

EMPOWERMENT OF THE COMMON BELIEVER
The body is going to be more "grass roots", “community organized”, and not a top down hierarchal system. Obama is known as a consensus builder. In local gatherings there will be recognition of the Mind of the Spirit speaking the voice of God in the common believer. No more will the voice of God be heard solely from leadership with no place to hear Him in others. The "trickle down" anointing philosophy of leadership is giving way to empowerment of all of the children of God to walk fully in their OWN anointing.

HOPE FOR THE HOPELESS
There will be a compassion that offers hope for those in need, the oppressed, and the poor that has been overlooked by existing leadership.

The African American community has struggled for years under oppression and prejudice with many of its people in dire hopelessness. Obama has offered hope of a better day for many people. His election is a sign to the church that God is going to answer the cries of those in hopeless situations and is coming to give hope to them. And this is THROUGH His people He is doing this. He is sending His people to the places His heart breaks most over, and they will bring hope, healing and deliverance to those who have had no hope.

Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those that are broken, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

JUDGMENT FOR THE HOUSE OF GOD
Judgment is a good thing. It does not mean God’s wrath, it means clarifying, judging, or separating or discerning of that which is Righteous and that which is not. We have entered into a day where we will see clearly that which is of Him and that which is of the flesh or soul.

The false prophetic words given in this election cycle have clearly shown that many people’s hearts have been speaking their OWN DESIRES rather then the mind of the Lord. Scripture is quite plain that it is God who raises and sets down leaders. Obama’s election has exposed lack of trust in God’s sovereignty, fear, anxiety, the accusing spirit, greed, and nationalistic tendencies in the Body of Christ in the USA.

And so we will clearly see in this day the motives of men’s heart exposed as discernment returns to the body. Much of this has to do with people with TRUE discernment being given place to exercise that discernment without fear of retribution from leadership.

CHANGE HAS COME
A new day has dawned; the old ways do not have the blessing of God. He has anointed and blessed a new generation to take up the banners of righteousness and justice. Can you see the signs all around you?

I hear the ring of truth in this! Obviously, the conservative IC did not get everything it bargained for either out of the Republicans. Does our nation, wait does the Father, really want for us to have another Bubba or a Cowboy?
While we all honor righteous deeds done bravely, past evils must be taken care of because they ran so deeply for so long. Bring on the New that the Father sends us!

Kriston,
As I read what you said about watching the people with their hearts full of hope for a new day..I could feel their pain too, how they have suffered so much. Sometimes God answers us in ways we didn't expect. We've prayed for healing and a return to God for our country and maybe through Obama, God can begin to heal a people who have been downtrodden for a long time. I think we need a lot of humility where pride has become a huge sin for the American people. Thanks for sharing your thoughts...Mitzi
