Simple Fallacies of Universal Salvation #1

The simplest believer in Jesus can find and explain the fallacies of erroneous doctrines if they use some simple principles.

1. If you know the Lord, HIS spirit will lead you. But watch that it is the same spirit that led you to Christ.

2. The scriptures were written by men inspired by HIS spirit. When you read them, HE will speak out of them.

3. HIS sheep hear his voice. You will know when it is HIM.

4. HIS spirit and HIS word will agree and will be recognised by your born again spirit and you rheart will rejoice in HIM.

Having said that, when someone gives some evidence of logic that seems right (to man that is), its not really too hard to ask the Lord about it and to hear the fallacy in what you have just been told. It helps to have read and studied scripture, because there is the sound of his voice in them, and you do learn to recognise it more as you hear him.
The Lord makes things so simple you have to have help to misunderstand them (AWMI.net).

Fallacy #1.
If Adam's act condemned all mankind, then would not the act of Jesus in salvation also be applied to all mankind? The power of Adam's act could not be more powerful than what Jesus did, could it?

Answer #1.
John 3: has the simple truth that reveals this fallacy. In conversation with Nicodemus, Jesus said that one needs to be born from above (some say born again) in order to see the kingdom of God.

Here is the simple truth: All were in Adam when sin was born. The act applied to all only because they would be born a spiritual son of Adam.

The sons of God must be born a spiritual son of the Son of God, Jesus the Christ, the one whom God sent and raised from the dead. In v 16 the Lord showed the process of this birth and the reason for it. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whosoever believeth on him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

This makes the work of Jesus more powerful than the work of Adam. A simple act of the flesh condemned all who would be born of Adam. But Jesus had an act of faith, His resurrection... he had to believe God to go to the cross and die believing God would raise him from the dead (notice this is the same faith Abraham had over Isaac). And it is the faith of Jesus that enables us to be born of his spirit.

Galations confirms this when it says, in 2:16 ...even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, . So when we believe in Jesus Christ it is HIS faith that justifies us. And that faith is more powerful than the work of Adam. It enables us to be born of God, as raised from the dead. So that we might be found in Him. Don't let anyone fool you. You must be born again.
