Successful Change...

God, it is your perfect will that brings successful change. Successful change is becoming more like Christ. People are not even close to holding this standard. This is why we can not put people on a pedestal or base something as important as our salvation upon a person other than Christ. People go about their lives, living for one another like spouses, children, parents, Pastors, even fellow brother and sisters in Christ. They say to themselves that “I’m going to live my life like this person”, or “ I'll live a good life for this person so they will have a better life when I’m gone”, or they will say, "I want them to see that I have a good life". Spouses try to live a certain way for one another, but it is mere false hope. The best that can be expected is no one finds out what is truly inside of you. The simple fact that you are basing this on something other than Christ will come crashing down in your face the first time this person does something that you disagree with, or something that you know in your heart is wrong. The Bible says we all fall short of the glory of God, If you are looking to change for the better then you need something that is solid and unwavering. Man is a creation that adapts to his own desires. When we want something we try our best to adjust, change, and/or make it look as if we have changed or adjusted to meet the position to receive the very thing we want. The Solution is Christ, and Christ alone.
