Recently there was a gathering of saints, we were ‘Searching Together” the riches found in the treasure of all treasures, Jesus Christ. While we were gathered together from 13 states, and from a wide range of life experiences there was and is a bond, and this bond is not of this world, this bond treasures unity as well as diversity ‘in” Christ. This diversity in unity was, and still is a treasure, a treasure of, and for “one another”.

As we all have returned to our homes we strive to stay in contact with ‘one another”, as we gathered together for  a few days, we found this internal bond, a common thread, and unity that not only was present, it flowed. We began to see ‘one another’” in a unique and treasured perspective. This was the expression of Jesus Christ himself. As we grew together we more fully experienced Christ. We learned, talked, shared, ate, laughed and cried with “one another”.

We are indeed searching together, searching by its own definition indicates the lack of something, or a greater need for something or someone. This defines each of us, we know in part, and see in part, and we all acknowledge this. We come together to share, to experience, and to explore this treasure of all treasures Jesus the Christ, and his expansive and amazing Life.

We will speak, and we will do things, that may not be understood by others, we can, and we will offend, and we will be misunderstood, and misunderstand one another. Yet in it all and through it all we love “one another” This is what bonds us, this is what makes our hearts long for “one another”, and we share “one another’s” blessing as Christ continues to reveal, and express himself though “one another”This love we have for “one another” is patient, kind, longsuffering, and hopes the best for “one another” this love is true, faithful, and heavenly, it is not of or from ourselves, it is the expression of, through, and for Jesus Christ.

We spent time with ‘one another” and ‘in” Christ we gained a deeper appreciation for his Life within ‘in” each of us. We more fully understood being ‘in” Christ is everything.

This gathering of saints is a foretaste of the fullness of community, and treasure of Christ and his Kingdom.

“One Anothering”
“By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

“Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with
the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.”

“Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this–not to put an
obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother’s way.”

“So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.”

“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another
as more important than yourselves;”

“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing
one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”

“and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you;”

A treasure, indeed, Jim! Thank you for writing! It nurtures conviction that what the Father, Son and Spirit desire for us is fully possible.
