Today is the Day!

Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day! – 2 Cor 6:2 (NLT)

I know, I know, I have pulled that verse, or part of a verse anyway, right out of context. But since it says exactly what I wanted to say, I have used it anyway. If you know a better way to grab everyone’s attention, then I am open to hear it.

You see today is the day for two very important reasons, at least from my point of view:
1. Our first book with Tyndale is published today! The Rabbit and The Elephant, which has been co-authored by George Barna, is the next book in his Barna imprint with Tyndale. It follows in the footsteps of such important works as Revolution and Pagan Christianity. We count it an honor to be included in this series, and we are praying that the Lord will use The Rabbit and The Elephant to help many to start simple/organic churches. Can you do us a favor? 2. But today is also the day to take another action. Registration for the National House Church Conference in Dallas remains at early bird pricing for one more week only. This is the time as a church together to plan to come and register that decision. Here is the link . The main sessions and the many tracks are shaping up into a fascinating time together. With the whole emphasis the Lord seems to be giving us of finding ways for the mega and the micro churches to work together on starting house church planting movements around the world and across N. America, it feels like we are being challenged to explore things on a scale that may dwarf what we have known so far. I am looking forward with eager anticipation to the folk from Apex Community Church in Dayton, OH, sharing their journey from rapidly growing mega to exploding network of micro. God doesn’t allow Himself to get trapped in any of our boxes, and we want to learn from every source where we can “see what Father is doing.”
