When Good is called evil and evil is called Good...

Today I read some news headlines - again. Ooops.

News Headline, Nov. 2009 - John Holdren, white house science czar under president Obama, has echoed Brown's call for global government by advocating the United States should surrender sovereignty to a "Planetary Regime" armed with sufficient military power to enforce population limits...

News Headline, Nov. 2009 - A pro-family organization is accusing President Obama's Office of Safe Schools chief, Kevin Jennings, of knowing in advance the "gross and disgusting" subjects that would be covered at a seminar on sex for teenagers. (description is too gross for me to post it here)

You get the idea..."brain trash".

Fortunately and thank God, for those who believe, the bible tells us that He has already OVERCOME this world (John 16:33), and, we too, can and SHOULD overcome this world (see Rev 2:7, 2:11, 2:17, 2:26, 3:5, 3:12, 3:21, 21:7)

Besides, God warns in everyone Isaiah 5...

"WOE unto those who say

that evil is good and good is evil,

that dark is light and light is dark,

that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.

Therefore, just as fire licks up stubble

and dry grass shrivels in the flame,

so their roots will rot and their flowers wither.

For they have rejected the law of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies; they have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

That is why the Lord’s anger burns against his people, and why he has raised his fist to crush them."

As an antidote, I am reading the Bible daily and I hope you are too.

Additionally, I have just begun reading a book titled "The Spirit of Faith" by Mark Hankins. It is a book that encourages Believers to focus their mind and thoughts on God and to develop a God-attitude; that same attitude that was in Christ Jesus: The enduring and steady, undeniable, unending, overwhelming, overcoming power of God in our lives through the Holy Spirit. I need it.

The first chapter of "The Spirit of Faith" refers to 2 Corinthians 4:13 "But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I BELIEVED, THEREFORE I SPOKE," we also believe, therefore we also speak"

Whether we mentally consume "brain trash" or "The living Word - Manna from God", we will believe and we will SPEAK!
The question for me is, what will my testimony be? Creative or Destructive? Praises or Curses?"

God tells us that we have this TREASURE in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves. WOW! Now that's a relief. We don't have to rely on our own intelligence, shrewdness or our own strength - We have HIS wisdom and strength working IN US!

The bible goes on to say that we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I BELIEVED, THEREFORE I SPOKE," we also believe, therefore we also speak, knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you.

Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge. Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord—
for we walk by faith, not by sight—

And so, as We BELIEVE so we WILL SPEAK and that speech - though it does not determine our fate - it will reveal our destiny..

For THE WORD IS NEAR to US, in our mouth and in our heart"—that is, the word of faith...
that if you confess with our mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved - SOZO(Greek to English word for 'saved'): made safe, made whole and healed, now and forever!

For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation - SOZO (Greek to English word for 'saved'): made safe, made whole and healed, now and forever!

"WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."

So, what do you think?

1. Does what we TRULY BELIEVE come out in our speech?

2. And, do our Words really reveal what is in our heart as well as our destiny?

3. Can what we SAY or CONFESS with our mouth result in our being made safe, whole and healthy?

Tell me what you think...

Your Friend and Brother to all the Saints in the Lord,

Mike Young, Sr.
