Where's the Church?(said like the saying-"Where's the Beef!?")

My wife lost something in the house the other day, and she wanted me to help her find it. The problem being I didn't know what she was looking for, let alone what it looked like!

I wonder if this is our state of mind when we are playing church!? I was just going on like I knew what I was doing, looking for the thing for my wife and yet I was actually useless to her in trying to find it. I was still a good husband and pretending to help her find the darn thing!

Why don't we know what we are doing,or saying about church? Can we chaulk it up to tradition or laziness or peer pressure. I think we could point to all 3 things if not more. We fail to take our life into our own hands to understand the purpose of God's design for me! We take everything for granted or assume what we are doing is the way or the
"Smith's" are doing it this way and they seem fine.

I almost want to chalk it up to tradition in the scenario that I see around me. My journey has led me to find this on my own life. I have come from a being a pastor's Kid, going from doing what I was supposed to do or say or be, to actually seeing what the church was designed for. I have no regrets from this former life, but I have learned that my parents were victims of the same thing, we all accepted the former ideals of our traditions.

I have realized that without trying that maybe my family is living the church as I speak! We are usually there for one another if there is a need in one of our family's. We all believe in God's family and his design for us and if our spiritual heart is there, we are there for each other, and as we live our lives from day to day, we look and live with our extended family(friends, neighbors, enemy's) we can see that it is God's love that keeps us in his Church(bride).
