Hi Ann,
I saw your post on the Home-school hangout. It's great to have people on there who have a lot of experience. My daughter is only 11 and I don't have any experience above that age. Hope you'll find lots of good stuff on this site.
Cheers,
Birgit

“There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest”. Joshua 1:5 – 7. Deut. 11.24, 25, Deut. 31.6, 8 • Heb. 13.5, Deut. 31.6--0.23
Hello Ann: My children and I are thinking about moving to the city of Asheville. I met our Savior and Lord for almost 20 years and he has always been my guide and helper. I believe as the scripture says to will and do come from God for His good pleasure. Knowing that man proposes and God disposes, we've set out to God our desire to move to this city.
Five years ago we came to this country as refugees. Ever since my desire was to move to North Carolina. After living one year in Miami, we decided to moved to Punta Gorda in the state of Florida. Here we lived about 4 years. During these four years we have given voice to many who have met the Savior.
I'm Cuban and from my convertion, I studied the word of God in depth. Perhaps for this reason early on I realized how far is institutionalized congracional of reality and the desire of God to his church.
In my country I served as a Sunday school teacher, evangelist, leader of cell and work as chaplain by 5 years in a psychiatric hospital. Since arriving here I have tried unsuccessfully to find a local church where the center of all worship and praise be the Lord. My attitude has never been hostile, because I believe that all who receive and accept, He gave the right to become children of God. But before such nonsense, I held a position of non-acceptance to the doctrines of men and not tolerance of sinful attitudes.
My kids are teenagers and they yearn to know the reality of the living church of Christ. From my belly they were consecrated to God and are gifted with an incredible faith and the gifts of the Holy Spirit of God.
I am trying to locate any group in the Asheville area. We are ready for planting. We want to know if there are any Hispanic group. I applied for some jobs and I have three response. We want a small house of two rooms, can be a cab. We have a small pet who is called Holy and can not leave because it is part of our family.
The dream of my children is to start the school in North Carolina. We only hope in God. Blessed I have promises of great things that He wants to do and there is nothing to crave with more strength. I know we are in recent times and is the true worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.
I wanted to let you know that I and my children, we believe there is one God whose name is Jehovah, one Lord, Jesus, who died for us, resurrected and now is on the right hand of the father. One Spirit, the Holy Spirit of God. One faith and one baptism. Besides that our only guide is the word of God which is useful for teaching, correcting, rebuking and training in righteousness so that man reaches the fullness of a perfect man to the heights of God in Christ Jesus. We believe the church is the body of Christ and that their growth depends on building and sharing among its members as this is fed through the rich supply between the joints. We further believe that the church is first local and then universal and that his name is given by the locality where the saints meet Christ. That the apostolic office is current and that the Holy Spirit is manifested through the gifts. We are also confident that the end was near, that this is the time and now the true worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.
