Thanks for the welcome. We look forward to encouraging and being encouraged here as we all strive to know and serve Our Lord to the fullest. We so enjoyed meeting you and Christie, and we truly would love to get our families together sometime soon. Any day work best for you? We're pretty flexible, so we can make almost any night work. Give us some options for the next couple of weeks, and let's see if we can make this work. You need to get away from the smog of the city and come to the country. haha
It was great connecting with you yesterday brother Jeff. I look forward to much more meetings and sharing. It is great to find someone with deeply set humility and hunger for the Lords work. And you can count me in on that Monday meeting out in Uptown.
Also my wife and i were thinking of starting some meetings over at our place, we are planning on calling it "The Bosque Gatherings" --seeing as we live right by the bosque. We are still in the initial prayer phase as to how we should go about it and i would appreciate any advice and help in prayer. Well, talk to you soon brother!
Jeff, we would love to fellowship with your family some time in the near future. Unfortunately, our summer has been filled with hospice care for my step-father (he and my mom live by us on the ranch). He passed away Sunday night, and now we are just trying to find some time for rest and reconnecting as a family ourselves. By next week or the following, I know that we'd love to spend some time with other Believers, so please do let us know when Christie gets back. Christ's love to you all. the herd

Thank you for writing Jeff. This is very new to me so I hope I'm doing it right. I first want to say that I saw the following on your website and really related to it:
"When the Lord said a new commandment I give you, to love each other as I have loved you, I believe this is the mandate and really the greatest challenge Church has, to love and receive each other as He does, on the merit of His blood and atonement....."
My neighbors had to move out about 6 months ago because of 'sewage overflow.' God told me to get a group of people together to help them move and to start bible studies in their homes based on the "least common denominator of forgiveness." When I was at my son's wedding in Albuquerque, my daughter-in-law's father told me about Love in the Name of Christ. I believe that may be the answer to the first part of what God told me to do, and I believe that I am now finally finding help with the second part.
I live in Farmington and have little experience with 'home churches.' Personally, the first place God sent me to minister was the juvenile probation office. They asked me why I wanted the job. I said, I don't. God told me to do it. The boss said, Hire her. Do whatever it takes. I just prayed for the families and told them that there was hope in Jesus. That is what initially led me into the neighborhoods. I have been going into individual homes doing bible studies with people, but haven't really had any fellowship or help with it. God has kept me from being a 'member' of any particular denomination. Every time I would try to become a member, He would stop me. God sent me to a retirement village and told me to start a bible study. We prayed that we would meet the right people. Two women came up and said that they wanted to be baptized. I took a step of faith and said I would do it. At the same time a couple from Living Streams in California came here to show us how to do home meetings, but I still didn't feel very comfortable with it. The day after the women were baptized, our city was given a website with the Father's Love Letter. God was saying that He loved our city. He wants people to know His love.
When I read about teaching people how to hear from God themselves, I felt more comfortable than I had with other things. I could relate to that. When I was first filled with the Holy Spirit, God spoke to me all the time, but then I made a big mistake and said I wouldn't speak any more and would submit to a pastor. The next day, I woke up and saw the Holy Spirit go into the earth of my heart. I had totally quenched the Holy Spirit. I knew that hearing from God and having a relationship with Him is what people needed.
I will share more later. Thank you again for writing.

Brother Jeff!
Hello brother, it's been so long since we last spoke. How are you doing? How is the Church that meets in your home? I pray that you are all being filled with knowledge and revelation.
A lot has transpired since we last spoke. I have been traveling -for ministry, and not for work. for once! HaHa! But i would like to re-establish some fellowship with you my brother. You have been so kind and willing and patient, since i first arrived in Abq and i thank you for that and for your prayers. I hope we can get together soon. As i type i am sitting in the airport terminal in Houston Tx. I will be free tonight and the rest of the week. I look forward to meeting up with you again brother. Call me: 818-450-7949
How have you been? I hope the holiday season went well for you and your family. I can't wait to get back to Abq so we can connect and you can share with me what you have been wanting to share.
I am also excited about the Training i would like to accomplish. I sent Peg some info on the sessions and i'd thought i'd pass it along to you aswell. I have also been thinking of adding, if not another day, then at least extending the last session to include other leaders in the area to share their hearts. I was thinking if you would be interested in preparing something to bring and share. Think about it and see if it's something you might be interested in.
Here is some info on the subjects of all 7 sessions:
-the nature of a leading servant
-the question of leadership
-the concept of authority
-the principles that govern organic gatherings
-the ministerial methods that our Lord used
-the pattern that Paul set
-praxis: tips, tricks, & techniques for actually doing organic church.
The first session "On the Nature of a Leading Servant' we will wrestle with many important issues such as:
-Shifting the paradigm from "Leaders" and "Servant-Leaders" to "Leading Servants". Because in the other two models the emphasis is still on leadership whereas the Old & New Testament examples are more about servanthood.
-This will segue into the next topic of the conversation which is the difference between "Servanthood" & "Servitude". In my experience in the organic church i have seen a lot of would be leading servants fall into the bondage of become a slave to the needs of others instead of become a steward of the needs of the community. And here i will give the tools needed to protect oneself from this.
-Then we will touch on cultivating the heart of a leading servant which Christ possessed BEFORE starting in public ministry. During this part of the teaching we will deal severely with the time of our Lord's life between His appearance at the Temple and His Temptation. This will be the deepest part of the meeting and we will discuss the three areas of ministry which must be resolved in one's heart BEFORE engaging in active ministry and if these three areas are not addressed and resolved we will fail.
And that's just the first session!
The format for the meeting will be open forum. I will mainly be presenting the material but questions or comments will be welcomed along the way to clarify something and at the end we will all share in the Lord's Supper and discuss the session further.
Hey Jeff, I can not tell how much of a blessing it has been getting to be the body of Christ with you and your family. Pam & I want to express our heart felt thanks for how you have served our son, our family and the body as a whole! We will keep in touch and pray for your continued blessings in the Lord. If there is any way we can serve you here in Indianapolis, Chicago area, or in Nashville, please let us know! Check out my web site at OrganicChristianCommunity.com
